Frequently Asked Questions

If your question is not listed, reach out via the contact form—we’re happy to help.

How do soft holds and hard holds work?

A soft hold reserves your preferred date without payment for 48 hours. A hard hold confirms the booking with a signed agreement and deposit. Competing requests may trigger a 24-hour challenge on soft holds. Start with a soft hold via Contact.

What’s included in the hourly rate?

Stage, standard power, lighting grid access, basic grip package, on-site manager, green room, HMU station, and Wi‑Fi. Add-ons like LED fixtures, backdrops, and specialty grip are billed separately. See Catalog.

Is overtime billed?

Yes. Overtime is billed in 30-minute increments after your scheduled end: 1.5x for the first 2 hours, 2x thereafter. We send reminders 60 and 30 minutes before wrap to avoid surprises.

Do you require insurance (COI)?

For commercial shoots, yes—a Certificate of Insurance naming StudioCast Atelier as additional insured is required. Student and ultra‑low budget projects may be eligible for a waiver; ask our team via Contact.

How quiet are the stages?

All stages feature baffled HVAC, insulated doors, and isolated walls. While not anechoic, they are designed for clean dialog and live recording. See “Silent by design” on Home.

What are your power options?

Most stages include 200A 3‑phase camlock plus dedicated 20A circuits along the perimeter. House dimming is DMX‑addressable. For generators and tie‑ins, coordinate with our manager via Contact.

Is parking and load‑in available?

Yes. Dedicated load‑in with dock or drive‑in access depending on stage. Van and cube truck parking is available. We provide load‑in diagrams upon confirmation.

Can we tour the space before booking?

Absolutely. We encourage tech scouts to test critical shots, power, and acoustics. Schedule via Contact.

What is your cancellation policy?

Full refund up to 7 days before the shoot, 50% refund up to 72 hours, and within 72 hours the deposit is non‑refundable. Gear rentals follow vendor terms.
